Personally I'd get cams, cam gears, valve springs, ECU and lightweight fly before going to ITB's. Running ITB's without hotter cams is pointless IMO. Have a word with the guys from Road & Track in Australia, they've built 3SGE race engines and the guy really knows his stuff - he wrote that 3SGE tuning guide I posted earlier.

Re: 3sge beams conversion question, factory ecu. u just need afew relays and afew power wires and your done. dont worry bout yr dash till u get it running. u prob wont need speed signal to ecu. if its goign into older car u might need tacho booster. fit temp sender to motor to match temp gauge. and same with oil and your done. wire up alternator.

The VVT-i 3SGE intake camshaft is physically different from the previous generation, since it's made to take the VVT-i actuator gear that controls the valve timing. Im using a local aus ecu, adaptronic. Runs the constant variable timing well and is a VERY easy to use and VERY cheap ecu with great tunning results. esults with this setup generally hit the dyno with + or - 140kw atw. the engine is 12kg heavier than the 4a and the box is about 14 kg heavier. Also the standard exhaust seems to fit fine.
